As I journey through the world of Essential Oils, this one spoke to me…I am a forever fan of anything Eucalyptus or Peppermint, but when I discovered Lemongrass, I fell in love all over again.
Lemongrass has many benefits from digestion, menstrual cramps, muscle pain, and MORE. Today we will focus on the benefits of lemongrass on the skin. One question I get asked a lot is, what can I do for my skin to help it look better? Well…the first thing is have a routine. Choose products that are suitable for your skin type and use them twice a day (morning and night).
Lemongrass is a natural antiseptic and astringent and is known for making the skin “glow”. It’s used for cleansing, toning, and treating skin conditions like acne. Whether you have oily, dry, normal, or combination skin, every skin type can use Lemongrass. Lemongrass essential oil works in a couple of ways to give you even skin tone and that natural GLOW. With natural antiseptic properties, it disinfects the pores and kill bacteria. Next, it’s used as a toner. Lastly, it helps to firm sagging skin.
For those with oily skin, this will probably be your best friend. As a natural astringent, lemongrass oil minimizes the appearance of pores and dries up oily skin. The oil naturally helps to control excess oil production, making your skin feel smooth.
