Sunken Eye Syndrome

Sunken eye syndrome..have you heard of it? Have you seen it? Well the sunken eye syndrome is attributed to dehydration. Dehydration causes a temporary loss of volume in the undereye area. If you have ever seen someone who looks very exhausted, and under their eye looks like someone took a scoop of the ice cream out of the carton, you have experienced someone who has, what i call, the sunken eye syndrome. The good thing is as soon as the tissues get hydrated, this hollowness is reversed! To prevent the sunken eye syndrome is simple. Check out the tips I have composed to reverse the sunken eye syndrome.

Tip 1:

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate! Drinking water will allow the area under the eye to become hydrated again. My rule of thumb when trying to determine how much water you should intake is take your body weight and divide it in half. For example, If you weigh 110Ibs, half of that will be 55Ibs. So, you will need 55 fl oz of water (or fluid in general) to hydrate your body. 55 fl oz=6.875 cups of fluid.

Tip 2:

Don’t blame it on the alcohol. Alcohol can pull the water out of your skin. Once you weaken the delicate area around your eyes, it’s more likely to sink into a pouch. If you get wasted, drink water before bed.

Tip 3:

Moisturize under your eyes. Apply an under eye cream that is hydrating. Use this twice a day (morning and night).
